layer fisso per le quote

Good day to all. use autocad 2010.
when I make a quota I would like to automatically apply the right layer.... for example the one with the name "quote" without having to select it every time before making the quota. in the settings for the odds there is everything, but it doesn't seem to me that there is a possibility to select the layer to use.

what you ask is a feature of autocad mechanical.
I have no idea if there is a lisp that does this with normal autocad.
to make sure that all odds are on the same layer you can, at the end of the drawing, make a pair of qselects and reposition them, or turn off the quota layer and check to the eye if there are odds on wrong layers.

1) Insert the attached lisp into a path folder (options\file\support file search path)
2) add at the bottom of the file acaddoc.lsp education (load "layquote") and save
3) lanciare autocad e provare un qualunque command dim...

I performed as a good ignorant but nothing changed. at the end of the acad2010doc.lsp file there is:

I added to head:
(load)
so when I open a new autocad file in the layers there appears a named quota, but when I draw one, it always uses the current layer. What did I do wrong? ?

I'm interested in the crystal answer, but I don't even know where to start acting on the box. . .

That's not the file.
autocad does not come with the file acaddoc.lsp but you can create it with a text editor (e.g. note block) and it should be inserted in a folder of the options\file\ path. . .
every time you open a dwg autocad look for this file, you find one charging it.
this is also useful by changing autocad version, just have the file to continue using your own routine libraries.

p.s. autodesk does not recommend modification of acadxxxxdoc.lsp files

I always add my lisp to be charged at the start of the acad20xxdoc.lsp. and it's fine,
However if you change version, you must report all the silentload section in the new acad20xxdoc.lsp file
is what of the acaddoc (without version) unla I knew...

crystal, could you be more precise on the procedure?
I changed the command as you see from the image, then I create the quota layer. when I launch the command instead of creating the quota on the predefined layer asks me the press preference(? )

Now, if you want us to come over, please indicate that command you give to "trace" your share.
at the limit, after you tried, type f2 and attach a printscreen of the last 10/15 lines.

I tried: certainly when quoting pressing the button step to the quota layer, but then it no longer returns to the previous layer! remains the quota layer even if I have to run another command, for example circle or line!! so I am happy the same, but the problem is solved in half!!! !

to trace a quota I use the workshops: summing up: I copied layquote.elsp in c: program files \autocad2010\support; in the same folder I created the acaddoc file. when autocad appears the quota layer in the layer list. but when I press the box of the quota remains the previous layer.

Sorry, but expanding a curtain and selecting another layer is so annoying? How long do you take five seconds? or continuous steps to draw to quote?
I understand the odds that always go on the same layer, but lines, circles, splines and other entities vary layers depending on what they have to represent, so unless you make drawings that only require entity on a single layer, you will have to choose whether to draw in sight, hidden, axes or what else or not?
