Good morning to all of you,

I haven't written on the forum for so long, today I'm here to ask where to find if there are documents pdf to dimensional a screw, i.e. pitch height of the crest, medium diameter diameter background etc... etc.... I know that they are unified but I need to have male and female thread on two objects designed in catia v5, to be even more clear I would need catia to realize a 3d thread like solidworks or fusion 360. thanks to all the people who will answer me....

on the internet you find tables and computers, just search.
on the baldassini, as on the net, find the formulas to find them from you

in the baldassini report the formulas to size the profile I have indicated you a today h= a constant * p seems to me the constant from where it comes out? Is there a document explaining where those constants come from? are valid for any step and size? For example design a screw m10 can I always use the same formula or the constant changes if I have to draw a screw for example m30?
the value of the constant is simple trigonometry... (100)*sqr3/2
Of course they are valid for any size, just looking at one of the tables I linked to you.

If you want to know how the bottom values are obtained, I don't know. It is obviously the uterus rays, but if it is a theoretical value or result of calculations or empirical tests I do not know.

and more than I expected. Saturday I try to make a parametric model of the vine using the wills you gave me and see if everything works. My idea is to get some functional prototypes, which give the chance to be wank like old buildings meccano.... thanks again for the time you dedicated me I wish you good night and good work... .

What exactly do you need that you can't find in the mesh dispensers?

I think the baldassini should have it all from the simple designer

the canopies is copyrighted and therefore cannot be scanned for disclosure use

Sorry, I found it now in the workshop!!! I'm sorry. What section does he talk about? from the index both in the material and normalized resistance part does not indicate that there is the calculation

does not indicate that there is the calculation
calculation of what?
the user who opened the discussion asked the formulas to obtain the measurements of the thread that is the classic figure you see in the image of the post #5; in the baldassini you surely find it, by memory in the standard section under the part of the threads
