issue autocad license activation lt 2010

Good morning, I'll write to you because I've had this. yesterday I had to restore windows in my post. once I restart autocad launch and asks me to regenerate the license code as if I had just installed it. No problem, we have a license. but the operation doesn't go well. I think I understand that autodesk has ceased the old software and there is no way to reactivate them if not buy a new one and activate the subscription. Has anyone happened? someone managed to start the program anyway, in short at the times laliccneza we also paid dear(we have 7) and it would happen to have to buy everything new.

It is so. autodesk decided that from August the pre 2010 licenses as yours will no longer be activated. from March 2021 only currents will be activated and up to 3 previous versions.

I have solved for now installing a version that does not require online verification.. Lt2004

at work we have an autocad lt2004 (do not laugh, yes the date I wrote it well).
the pc uses windows 7, which in a few months ends the support.
if I have to switch to windows 10 and then reinstall autocad I can turn it on? I think so, just because it's so old that there was no online activation at the time, right?

with windows 7 autocad 2004 works, but from some problem, I think there is compatibility quetion. I didn't update to windows 10 fearing things could get worse, someone tried?

Unfortunately not, not even in compatibility mode. I on my laptop x run lt2010 I had to downgrade to windows 7(also 8 works).

I would say that the money spent on an autocad lt is worth little compared to the free nanocad5 with which the same things are done. Think about it.

lt 2010 does not work on windows 10even when the license was activated. works or better worked up to windows 8. lt2004 works on windows 7 xche does not require verification of the online license, on windows 10 I did not try, but if it does not work lt2010 maybe it does not even work 2004.

I didn't make it work when I tried. but it's been a while, then maybe they've solved it somehow.

I installed lt2010 just passed to win 10 and it worked immediately, without any problem, so now it works perfectly, even if I do not use it anymore. commenting on the decision of the mother's house, instead I think it is simply shameful, of the rest as many other decisions that have taken over the years.

from here to March 2021 passes water under the bridges. However the idea of autodesk is to migrate everything to subscriptions (subscriptions), and since their flagship products do not back up, the idea is not so bizarre. Have you ever read the eula? If they do, it means they can. I don't think they're so unproven.

If this were true, I think it would be illegal behavior from the software house...it can't deny the validity of a license retroactively.
