good evening, I should recreate a solid starting from a .png image, being a little complex the design I wondered if it was possible to import the image into the software and automatically get the contours. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

automatically, that I know, you can't do it.

what you can do is create a plan (or any surface, of course flat is better), stick an image, and then "ricalcarci" above. then hides or moves the plan with the image on another level and then there remain the wireframes on which we can work

You can try with wintopo, I tried it every time without getting great results, but maybe for what you have to do it works best.
Since you hesitate the freeware version, try it costs nothing.

Good morning, and thank you for the advice, but how can I upload an image above to recalcate it?

with the "old" version (the one with small icons, before it looked like excel) it was enough to select the surface, in one of the first menus (not to icon) there was something that was called "additional label" or similar (not on the working pc now), a window was opened, you chose a file and wanting it rotated/adapt. I've done it a million times in the past, now it's a few years I don't have to do it anymore.

with the version "new" who knows where they will put it (from what I remember a customer showed me that it is possible to do it in another way, maybe on the internet is located)
