I personally think that autocad is part of a “generation” of programs that has exhausted its development limit. you can improve some fiocchetto, but nothing substantial.
who wants to go further must change “generation” or switch to parametric programs revit or inventor, staying in autodesk house.
But people are prepared to modernize themselves for costs and also for laziness. so autodesk can not stop releasing new versions of the program that made it famous. He would lose a consistent part of his own income.

Well... you are right, but the fact is that the new version of the cad allows you to open new files.

I will not be an expert in autocad, but as far as I am concerned with this latest version is shameful... but seen so little more than the previous version since I use this software (and less bad than as a student I do not have to buy it).
was a miracle to start it (case nvitix.dll error) also just started I find that hardware acceleration is disabled! I am not given the opportunity to change this approach. autocad in fact reads me as a primary video card the intel hd without counting the presence of a nvidia. the beautiful is that autodesk and nvidia are in combutta for the development of the software. Good result! the error in startup is given by nvidia and exceeded that I can not even choose the video card without passing from the bios...(which I haven't tried yet)...bah! what to say...compliments

my modest opinion. .
Well, we have a darker theme... a new selection "lasso", graphic improvements like transparencies and other small thighs in the mtext command (which therefore wants the enabled hw acceleration) antialiasing 2d activable/unactivable via sysvar, active command icons near the cursor, enable-unable. . .
and the layers are now sorted in the list with their natural order (1,2,3...11,12 instead of 1,11,2...)
but:
if to the 2010 version someone had come to ask me if I needed some specific features, I would certainly have responded no (except for improving stability and efficiency, which from 2010 to 2014 is clearly improved)
in 2015 we have however all that series of side tools type autocad 360, autocad recap, and now also a standalone app manager, that helps us install/disinstall besides features and add-on, also the other autodesk home products.
in practice they are implementing, improving, and pushing to use the tools that I personally have never used, nor have I ever seen to use.
