If you have a self-centered axis you have an encoder, a motor and once you make the snails you are finished and for all your life continue to position properly.
If each head had its axis, you will have two engines, two encoders, two games to recover etc and therefore costs more.
series screws are only Left or Right. ..that of great production.
craftsmen and small companies of vines build you in long time (3 months) half-drenches and half-drums, almost always for turning and not rolling (so weaker) that are comfortable for those who design the machine, but are a break of bales for maintenance and supplying.
on a 40 mm external screw....recovery you are no 50 mm difference if you do it bi-filetto compared to joining two of opposite propeller....so there is no reasonable recovery of money.
You know how it is... you have to calculate the
joint with radial thorns and/or the tabs to be placed between the two screws...and not everyone knows or wants to calculate it, so they take the already made and reached screw.
