It's my first post after my presentation. I tried to search on the forum similar cases to that of my interest but I couldn't find the necessary information.
I would like to know how the convection coefficient of a brake disc varies in certain conditions of motion (simplative case, disk in rotation at a certain speed' of progress) according to its geometry (disposition of holes, baffations, etc...) using fluent.
I analytically calculated a convection coefficient considering the main dimensions of the disk and then leading the disc rotation motion to the simplest case of flat lamina. I would like to know if through a cfd I get at least similar values as order of magnitude.
Is fluent primarily suitable as a tool? Can I get this kind of information? Could someone recommend me some links/tutorial to correctly set the boundary conditions?
I read some ansys material but I can't figure out how to correctly set the analysis.
