broken director

Hello, is it possible to break the director of a welding? I intend to create/change a director with multiple segments. the director in question is not the main one but one of the others.

rectifying: you can create but not change, correct?

add top/director with dx key.
with eliminates director eliminate all the various knots, then always with add vertex to create a new one
