color surfaces

Does anyone know if inventor 2016 solved the big problem of giving a color to a single surface of a piece?

but this is not a problem you can do quietly by associating with the face the representation you want; On the contrary, you can do more, you can split a face through, e.g. a sketch in portions and associate to each surface the color you want.

then if I misunderstood the problem enlighten me! !

Yes, but what you say is on the table. instead I would like to do it on the 3d. a client asked me to give different colors to the 3d where there are the processing and where there is the crude. can you do on 3d?

have changed something in 2016? I stayed on 2014 and if you want the 3d multicolor model just click on the face and change color (or divide it and change color)

just select the face go up in the look drop-down menu and give it an appearance.

alternatively select face- > sx-> properties-> face appearance
