Hello everyone, I spent a little time from autocad 2010 to autocad 2012, and I have a problem: Trying to join two areas through the loft command, I no longer get a solid, but a superfice! I tried to change the mode, from superfic to solid, and from solid to superfice, but the result is always the same  how could I do? really, it's a frustrating situation:confused:

Trying to join two areas through the loft command, I no longer get a solid, but a surface
but look at it working as before.
try to do something really simple and see if the command works or if you may miss a few steps.
to say, I just tried to take two different radius circles (r=1000 and r=500 and plant one at altitude z=0 and the other z=500. applied the loft command I got a solid.

attention: when you give the loft command try to press the arrow down the keyboard.
a menu with 3 options appears.
the third option defines the mode of generation: solid or surface.
try to select solid and see if it works.

here specifically where I have to apply the loft, with above what I get: a superfice and not a solid! ...and I followed all the procedure you recommended.. I don't understand.

attach a dwg with only those "two areas", which we see.

p.s. is better to attach images directly on the forum.

try to replace the areas their boundary (only polyline, no region) and repeat the command.

if geometry does not vary, the result should be the same.
Try and you'll see it's not always like that.
using the two circles I described in my first answer you always get a solid but using two polylines (which I drew randomly) turned into the region the result is a surface (which I can't convert into solid using the special command).
if I leave polylinee simple polylinee instead I get a solid.
I don't know why the program behaves like this but from the operational point of view I solved it like that.

You're right, I never noticed.
I was convinced to get in both cases solids because visually my objects looked identical, instead one is solid and the other is a loft surface.

ok thank you so much to all, I tried everything, then reinstall autocad...adesso seems to work, but I don't understand why with the previous installation it didn't work...boh boh now I try to upload the pictures on the forum as you advised me

ok upload the pictures on the forum, here is the finished model (finally!)
.

Hello, I have a problem a little more complicated... use autocad architecture 2012 and when I go to make the loft between two road sections ( created with 3d polylinea) always creates me and however a surface even if I try to give it the option of solid! Can you help me?

try to convert the portion of space delimited by the polylinea into a region and test the loft command specify to create a solid before selecting the sections... usually I do so and works wonder:cool:

Thank you for answering me! :) however whether I create a region or if I create a 3d polylinea the result is always a superfluous... to be predicted that the two sections are not perpendicular to the same floor, that is they are not parallel and therefore lie on two different floorssuperficie verde.webp

from the image you posted I can't understand how the sections are, it would be better to attach (also) the dwg.
However... if as well as the sections of loft do not allow the creation of a solid, create the closing surfaces (*) and then sculptsuperf.

(*) you can also create them with loft by selecting two edges of the existing surface while holding ctrl.

I apologize for my ignorance, but I couldn't... I attach dwg files so that there are no misunderstandings and that someone can help me! Thank you in advance!

Hello, everyone. we say that I have solved, that is:cancello all the sections (road, sidewalk and rope) I reconstruct (with polylinea3d ) a section of the road on the higher side, then I move ucs on the lower side and I always reconstruct the road section and immediately after I follow the loft and creates the solid! then hid the layer of this usual. I do the same procedure for the sidewalk and the rope. In the end, I reactive all the layers and I have my way in 3d... as I go on I begin to hate autocad and his machinacy... Thanks anyway kalindros and gp. :

I redesigned the upper rectangle (extruding only it did not give me a solid contrary to the lower rectangle)
therefore ucs for three points on the upper rectangle, I redesign the rectangle (_rectang), gate the old, I follow the loft and select the trajectory and I got the solid, same thing for the rectangle "marciapiede" however drawing two rectangles for face in order to have a rectangle to be subtracted to get the shape. Could I explain? ?

I understand how you did it! My problem is that I have to make a solid at a time otherwise, I do not know why, it creates me surfaces! and I also have to build every curve on a new file and then take it back to the main file because otherwise it only creates me surfaces...
