config.pro on training edition

Good morning.
I downloaded the wf4 tea and I was trying to set some parameters on the config.pro...only I can't find it! or better from inside proe I find it, but out no. I tried in various ways but nothing.
with the commercial version, for the little I used it, I didn't find this problem: In fact I find the config in the boot folder, along with the various other files and installation folders etc.

Yes, in proe I find it, as I said. the point is that I don't find it out, that is between the windows folders to understand us.
I make ownership over the launch link on the desktop, I see the source of the program but inside that folder I find only the progressive of the config.win.
I tried with search of windows but of the config.pro there is no trace.
the same search I did in the office (with 'commercial' proe) and in the above folder I find config.win,config.pro trail folders etc.
By the way, now that I think about the two tests I've done, I haven't seen the trail. I thank you for your concern

the first time you launch the config.pro is not there.
or copy a config.pro that you already have or rename the current_session.pro file that he creates on startup.

I created a config.pro file directly from the pro wf4.0 options area but the problem is that I don't find myself with the various options that I put into the next reopening. . .

right-click>properties on the pro-e launch icon and in the item to enter the address of the folder containing your config.pro.

the config.pro file you saved must be in the starting directory of pro/e that you find indicated, by right-clicking >propriety, on the icon you have on your desktop.

the units indicated in the config.pro do not intervene on the preceding or on a start part set with different units of measurement.
you must however use a start part with correct measurement units.

I want to avoid setting ogno time that I am about to draw a part the type of material, e.g. steel and that I will use the measuring sisitema in millimeters.

you need to create a custom start part (which is a normal .prt file placed in the start part folder) with the desired units and parameters.

Yes, okay... but that means that every time I have to refer to that file and also if I forget to find myself a part in the whole that is completely packed....
are there solutions to set defaul every new part that is created in the units defined by the user? :finger:

in the config pro you have to put the options:

• template_solidpart
• template_sheetmetalpart
• template_designasm

with the paths of your start part.

launches proe, tools \ options
add 2 parameters :
pro_unit_mass unit_kilogram
pro_unit_lenght unit_mm
(you may also add pro_unit_sys mks )

save the file, in the same directory, calling it config.pro.

close proes, release it, and at this point, all new models created will be in kg and mm

... I really thank you.... but the problem is precisely this.... that I inserted the file config.pro in the main dir of pro work and, but it would seem that it is not read because when I genero a new component takes as reference the default pro-e ie inch!
I think I'm wrong somewhere, but honestly I have no idea where!!!

Are you sure the config is in the beginning of proe?
If you are not sure, do one thing, put the config in the dir text of the installation of proe.
close and relaunch proe
