and if I told you that I am using a compaq 6720 s with intel core 2 duo t5270 / 1.4 ghz ( dual-core ), integrated video card and 1 gb ram? I think with a pc of 800-900 euros I should feel some improvement.

use nx for small composite structures and machine components.

What do you say about the Vaio that indicated ellery?

thank you all for the answers.
the answers have already been given above and also specified the reasons of such choices on processors, rams and especially graphic cards. as I already said long ago for a test I installed solid edge on a netbook aspire one from 8.9" screen and it worked, but it was only for a test as to move a tondo went to snaps and display even to comment. If as you say you do small structures and you don't care if you do more complicated things tomorrow and consistent assemblies you can settle for a supermarket pc as already told the other user that uses autocad. only then do not come to complain if the visualization creates problems, if it moves to snaps or if something disappears because it has already been laughed that in order to be able to work with these programs cad (not only nx but also if, swx, proe, etc) necessarily needs a proper hardware and 800-900 euros for a laptop/workstation is practically impossible to find new, but only used.

I think it goes much better than one of the m6300 or m6400 used (which you should find at that figure).

you would have certified hardware, professional quality, if you have a bit of warranty otherwise with a few euros you renew it, and you have a car built like a tank.

sincerely the Vaio (which for autocads are fine, as everyone else) I see them more suitable to make a film or retouch photos than for a massive 3d cad like ugs.

i of usually give more bang for the bucks, but xps lately are quite inflated as price for all the leds they have on.

excuse the intromission but I had already created a discussion where the only advice was "look at your 3700" then seeing so active this I intrufolate!
then recapitulating between the 3 you would buy the Vaio
thanks to all

thanks to all for the answers, I understood that the nvidia is however to be preferred compared to the ati (right???), but, since I can not afford a picture, and for what I have to do it would also be wasted as I do not operate with assemblies of thousands of pieces but at the most a hundred, which of the geforce is better adapted to nx6? ?

Thanks again

provided that the geforces are not certified, so no guarantee if nx does not turn,

I'd take that more power I can afford.
for example my old acer 9810 mounts a gf go 7600 from 256mb and can also work on it, of course that workstation is another thing ...

I would advise you to check what fits the laptop you want to take and check on the internet if there is a chance to convert it into a picture with a special program. time ago the omega drivers and a Rivatuner program used to optimize the performance of a common geforce card, ensuring almost the performance of a picture. I don't know if they're still there, but you can always search the internet for something.

Do you say that there is even the possibility that nx will not turn? I make it turn on an integrated card or on an old ati. Do you know what current geforces can be converted into a picture?

Thank you.

It is not said. can safely turn but dirty the screen with lines or other during handling or disappearing details during zoom.

for tabs that you can convert search so google with the word "convert nvidia geforce to fx picture" or something similar. I remember that the old geforce 9400 could be converted, but I'm talking to you a few years ago. the current ones must be searched.

see this link here http://www.downv.com/windows/download-video-nvidia-quadro-fx-550-driver-version-a04-10186628.htm

check here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/comparison_of_nvidia_graphics_processing_unitsthose with the same gpu (column) code name) of the frameworks should be convertible (modable via software with tuner shore).
I can tell you that I have done it several times with 7600gs@fx560 and 8800gtx@fx5600. .
with the most recent (from the 9xxx series on) I have no news of mod went to good end, should no longer be possible. but as soon as I recover one I would try with the gtx260/275.

greetings

When I read these discussions I always wonder why with a 10,000 euro software they want to save 200 euros on the pc...

the license is from the client, the car I have to put it on, these statements sebrate me out of place, as if you want to insinuate something.

from the link posted by ellery ( http://www.notebookcheck.it/schede-grafiche-benchmark-list.2875.0.html ) you know how to recommend a better or comparable nvidia to the hd 5650, of course the same price range.

Thanks again
