the answers have already been given above and also specified the reasons of such choices on processors, rams and especially graphic cards. as I already said long ago for a test I installed solid edge on a netbook aspire one from 8.9" screen and it worked, but it was only for a test as to move a tondo went to snaps and display even to comment. If as you say you do small structures and you don't care if you do more complicated things tomorrow and consistent assemblies you can settle for a supermarket pc as already told the other user that uses autocad. only then do not come to complain if the visualization creates problems, if it moves to snaps or if something disappears because it has already been laughed that in order to be able to work with these programs cad (not only nx but also if, swx, proe, etc) necessarily needs a proper hardware and 800-900 euros for a laptop/workstation is practically impossible to find new, but only used.

I think it goes much better than one of the m6300 or m6400 used (which you should find at that figure).

you would have certified hardware, professional quality, if you have a bit of warranty otherwise with a few euros you renew it, and you have a car built like a tank.

sincerely the Vaio (which for autocads are fine, as everyone else) I see them more suitable to make a film or retouch photos than for a massive 3d cad like ugs.

i of usually give more bang for the bucks, but xps lately are quite inflated as price for all the leds they have on.

I'd take that more power I can afford.
for example my old acer 9810 mounts a gf go 7600 from 256mb and can also work on it, of course that workstation is another thing ...

I would advise you to check what fits the laptop you want to take and check on the internet if there is a chance to convert it into a picture with a special program. time ago the omega drivers and a Rivatuner program used to optimize the performance of a common geforce card, ensuring almost the performance of a picture. I don't know if they're still there, but you can always search the internet for something.

for tabs that you can convert search so google with the word "convert nvidia geforce to fx picture" or something similar. I remember that the old geforce 9400 could be converted, but I'm talking to you a few years ago. the current ones must be searched.
