Hello, everyone.
Is there a way to convert a polyline into a spline with solid edge?
for a couple of days I have been using a program for calculating the profile of rotors for bivite pumps and compressors. the program provides me a curve in .dxf format formed by a polyline of about 500 points. when the amount in solid edge and I go to extrude with the helical command the solid that generates is very heavy and the pc slows down considerably (and it is a powerful pc).
Any advice?

Does it matter to you as a set of small lines or as a curve?
If it matters to you as a curve, right click on the curve and select it simplifies.

Can you share the dxf that matters?

the program generates a curve formed by many small lines.
This is the result.Rotore.webpattached the file (I saved it in .dwg because it didn't let me load it in .dxf)

I tried to load your dwg but is it a sketch on a plan?

It is a lot of lines placed next to each other and not a curve.
the only way to convert them to a curve is to draw it manually by recalculating the points of the lines, it is not necessary to use all points but only where there is a change of curvature.

with a dozen points you get a fairly faithful curve.

Alternatively if the calculation program can export the coordinates of the points you can create a curve per table
