copy independent surfaces

I am using creo8 and I would like to know if it is possible to copy surfaces together from another component making them independent, so if then to the component from which I copied I go to make a hole by modifying a surface that I used to copy, regenerating no changes the detail with copied sup.

hi, the classic copy/paste keeps you the bond (surface dependent on the original)
solutions:
- within the origin part you have to create a surface copy before the hole, so then together copy the "pulita" surface.
- use the "copy geometry" command available on the "essential team" module (advanced assemblies)
you have the possibility to maintain "automatic update" of the surface, or "manual update", or "no dependence" and then completely undelete the surface copied from the original.

in the copy/paste it is sufficient to use either the "indipendet geometry" function or the "collapse" function to remove the bond.
