delete material from library

I have a problem with this guy.
I entered a material in the library but mistakenly and now I would like to elimate it.
with the right button I go to the material and do delete but it does not eliminate me anything and all the time I find it inside, how do I do? ?

If you have inserted a material in the library you can not delete it but uncheck it in the library, or better if you have a custom standard and you just put on the bolt that you need to add and remove what you want. by default they are all.

I still try to complete the discussion because I also had the same problem and, having not found an answer within the forum, I would somehow be of help to others who had to meet the same difficulties. the only way through which I managed to erase a material within the library, was to edit the native material.xml file that for inv 2011 on win 7 is located within the folder c:\utenti\public\documentipublic\autodesk\inventor 2011\design date.
you can open with word by paying attention to save again with .xml extension.
I recommend making a copy of the original to avoid any discomfort.

Mah... if you delete it in the part but you have in project 'use library of styles' you have to go in management and select save... otherwise you delete it only from the specific part but not from the library.. .

Forgive me Vigz, but honestly I don't understand your comment. the purpose of warrel is to delete a material from the native list in the library. if in the active project is using the style library, this material will always appear in the list. in fact it is possible to erase only the "local" materials. using the "salva" command only aligns the local styles with those of the library (the reverse command is "upon", through which the styles present in the library are translated locally). I reiterate, without presumption or ostentation, that the only method I have found effective to clean up the native styles library, is to act by editing the data design files (i.e. for materials as for any other element of the library). It is understood that it would always be better to create a personal library with its own archive of styles. what I propose should be an emergency solution (as far as I personally use the native library).
