after a few days of trial I returned to the store
I found another bamboo wacom
I think it's the previous version.
is aesthetically less well-groomed, but it has 4 programmable buttons and (wonder of wonders) a "touch ring" that allows you to zoom in:finger:
on the 2 keys I programmed the previous zoom and extens zoom.
now I go almost to speed mouse... but the wrist tendons are already thanking me:tongue:

What model is it? I'll take a look!

"looking date" is on the site, but between the used one!
for autocad I think it is better that touch ring of the old bamboo, than the functions of the new.
What do you think?
Look, having something to do zoom functions without using buttons or other artifacts, for me that I use 95% autocad and inventor is a manna.
I tried to use the space navigator, but I'm used to keeping the left on the keyboard to give commands. I don't feel good about moving it all the time for pan and zoom
It's the bamboo fun a5 like mine.
Did you do autocad calibration?
negative
She doesn't recognize me as a tablet, she sees it as a mouse. therefore not the caliber.
you can only change the settings of the tablet and assign various combinations to the buttons

taken from curiosity I looked into the bay of a tablet, and bought a second hand, I believe your own bamboo, model before the pen and touch, and with touch ring.
I am now using it for the first time. I see that I have to "do the hand", a bit of learning it takes, I had the impression that with autocad you work well, but it is still to test. . .

how did you plan them? have you first assigned a key combination in the tablet driver and then assigned in autocad that combination to the zoom?

I simply assigned to the fn1 key the combination "'z and " (so zoom extens in transparent mode) and fn2 the combination "'z p " (which zooms above)
of course without quotes. .

I have to look better at the options of the tablet driver then.
But a longer cable could put it on us! !

I set so...

I didn't even use their but one I had already.
so much is a classic usb cave identical to those of the external hds

I would like to report a problem that I have encountered and solved in the past years but that it came to mind only now that I was back.
I noticed that the tablet (wacom graphire, older than bamboo) went crazy.
the motivation is that I carry the watch on the wrist of the hand dx
I normally take it off when I get to the office, I was running today and I did some things with the wrist watch and it turned back to me.

The same thing happens if I charge myself electrostatically.
it restores by disconnecting and reconnecting the tablet.

Bye.

I also set fn1 with zoom forward and fn2 with zoom back. for the pan I use one of three keys on the pen.
I'm glad to have created some discussion on bamboo pens.
after a month of use I have to say that I don't look great.. I took it for trouble on my wrist, but it's not even better with the pen. I'm just wrong:

hi I enter into your discussion even if it is not very punctual.
I just got a bamboo a6 graphic tablet! seems to work very well on mac, but just apro draftsight or emulated autocad on desktop parallels no longer works well!
or megnio is useless. ..start the lines where she wants you to create the print box.... the pointer goes on her own, etc. seems to live of own life!
Why? ? ?
the installation went smooth, I fixed the settings as from instructions but it does so.....
Would you please help me?
I am not a computer scientist or engineer and the like.... keep it in mind so don't be surprised at these questions maybe banal to specialists.
Thank you.

Hello!

is my first message I am a student of architecture and I am trying to set up my first graphic tablet for use with autocad.
I have a bamboo pen & touch with 4 customizable keys on the tablet and two on the pen... .

I wanted to set in autocad a zoom that is similar to what you get with the mouse wheel but I can't.

I managed to set the zoom in and zoom out with strings

z space 2x space

z space 0.5x space

My problem though is the identification of the area I want to enlarge, I explain better, when zooming with the wheel I move with the cursor on a drawing area and scrolling the wheel by magnifying and regretting all the design but remaining in the window the area on which I moved. . .
By associating the above strings to the keys I enlarge and regret the sheet in a centered way, I can not manage to move and zoom in the area that interests me.... can I have this same type of zoom with a key combination?

I hope to have been clear and thank you in advance for the help!

hello to all, I wanted to express my enthusiasm for my purchase.
a pen with wacom tablet, it is called bamboo and I chose the medium format (cth-461-it).
I was asked to give an opinion and I must say that in my opinion it is very good also for less graphic software of photoshop such as autocad.
becomes an interesting purchase for those who like me begin to experience strange creaks on the wrist and the classic anesthetic signs to the fingers of the right hand typical of the carpal tunnel syndrome that in short demonstrate that the mouse is not the best thing to hold in hand 8-10 hours a day every day.. .
Of course, the lack of the wheel makes itself felt, but with some insight you can solve. in fact the pen has three buttons that can easily be compared to the three mouse keys, while for zoom I use the f1 and f2, keys as zoom in and zoom out.
in practice it becomes all a bit more slender but it ends with the use of more also the left hand, which in my case was a bit atrophying after years passed to hold my chin while drawing for hours and hours...
I place the tablet on the right of the keyboard, then with the right drawing and with the left I remain on the esc key to cancel or reset the commands and press the zoom with f1 and f2, then always with the left I insert numerical impt or fast commands.
the negative sides are:
- it is easier to leave the mouse to take some note or use the calculator (the real I mean) rather than to continue to lean the pen.
- my tablet version also has touch functions with fingers that I practically never use but I was obliged to take this version because the useful area of the tablet is greater than the basic version (we talk about a5 instead of a6).
- this system is not recommended for those who use mouse with dozens of function keys.
I have for a few years a xp-pen star 06 tablet art with which I find myself well to draw and use autocad .

Of course the size of the tablet is very important, on a stamp it moves little well, an a4 is comfortable and abundant, especially if you are at the beginning.

from what I know about the xp-pen deco series art tablet are the + valid and professional as quality and power(+ pressure sensitivity as well as a tablet full of functionality), but also the + expensive.. .

xp-pen deco 01 has a good value for money. It's almost an a4 and is very precise. if you config it well, do even without the mouse.

But do you want it with the screen? to have a screen it will take at least 200~600€ ( xp-pen artist series).
