Hi, I'm a mechanical engineering student and I'm at the last exam where I'm having some trouble. the professor assigned us a project regarding the design of a lifting winch.
starting from the initial data, such as: maximum load to be lifted 38kn, height to the hook 7 m , lifting speed 10 m/min, number of wheel of the rope 4 , cycles per hour 15, light supports 5x5 m; the project must be developed and the consequent verification of the main mechanical organs. in particular the following dimensions and verifications must be carried out:
1. dimensioning and verification to breakage and fatigue of the drum;
2. sizing and testing at fatigue and deformation of trees;
3. sizing and checking the threaded elements inside the assembly.
4. sizing of the rope;
5. sizing of the deferral cartcula if present;
6. sizing of the support structure and the relative connection joints in it present.
thanks in advance for the help.
