Hello.
in my company we use creo ( ver 3.0) for the design and modeling of machines and plants while tekla for its support structures.

at the moment to be able to control the interferences between assembled machines (in creo) and its support structures (in tekla) we export to dxf 3d of the models of tekla and we import them into creo.

this methodology, however, "impalla" very much the asm models of creo that become very difficult to manage, as the 3d dfx of tekla are very heavy

Does anyone know an alternative method to import files generated in tekla?

thanks in advance

Hi.
I think the problem is upstream, so what neutral formats (or not) exporta tekla?

to look at the manufacturer's website (tekla), available the step in size both 203 and 214, so I don't see the reason to use the heaviest and least used dxf 3d, then it should be analyzed as export tekla these formats, how many errors and "horrors" it takes behind.

thanks I can not export in step, we have version 15 of tekla and allows me only as indicated in the image

Hi.
to export to step/iges you have to install an external tool from tekla warehouse, but I don't know if it exists for such an old version of tekla (currently I am ahead of a dozen releases). the only thing that comes to mind is not to export bolts (if you don't already do) and export only areas that interest you (often you don't need to export the whole model) possibly avoid exporting even the dishes of colleaguely trave-column (I imagine the machines are not close to the links).
