Does anyone of the members have experience on friction welding machines?
you have some dispenses to advise me in order to deepen this process and to understand the modes of execution.

studied (poor and bad) in a course of unconventional mechanical technologies .. considers that, as in general most of the welding mechanisms, it is one of those processes of which the practical mastery is intuitive, but of which it is very difficult to define an an analytical model that describes the phenomenon. if you think about it is a thermo-mechanical process with “the aggravating” to require more state transformations = each system variable will be non-linear function of a thousand other parameters.
universities, research centers and companies that have time, usually, run on empirical models, fruit of long experimental tests.
However when I’m at home check if I still have university dispenses

Hello, thank you for the answer. in a few words they will have to build a machine that does this work. I have to inform me as much as possible to understand what is behind this processing.
information that goes more in the simple spindle that turns tot turns and a counterpoint that pushes tot kg.... deepen the process in general.

It's probably what I feared. As far as I know, the process itself (“what happens”, not “with which devices I get it in industrial practice”) does not yet master from analytical point of view. there will certainly be approximate models, result of data analysis.

the problem of physical modeling as complex as possible and usually takes place pragmatically with simplification. the approximation of the predictive model is one of the golden rules in the development of these processes, then the divergence of the model occurs with experimental data.
Did you consider building a test bench for testing the process before construction of the prototype?

years ago I was in contact with an ultrasonic welding company (they made welding machine and also work when necessary). I think they were milan or surroundings.
they told me about friction welding by turning component one against component two. (then it worked only on round components).
Maybe, with a brief search, you can get in touch with them.
it didn't seem like there were industrial secrets behind (or maybe it was just the experience that you can't replicate).
