hello to all, I just downloaded a 'academic' license via the site of my university of solid edge v20. Unfortunately on the download page there are no guides and/or user manuals related to this version.

I would like to know where I can recover material (pdf or other) that explains the basics a bit, how to use the various tools, etc.

Thank you in advance

Thanks for the answer.
I have seen that there is also a license of if v100 and attached there are 2 pdf:
"getting started with solid edge with synchronous technology", 180 pages of 2008.
-"standard parts st user guide" 80 pages

is it advisable to use this version instead of 20, especially in the case of a beginner like me?
I also have no idea how heavy it is, recommended requirements, etc.

portable system that I use:
intel core 2 duo at 2.0ghz bus 1066mhz
2gb ddr3 to 1066mhz
gpu integrated nvidia geforce 9400m 256mb
win xp sp3

hi and welcome, I recommend you to learn the basics and learn the various commands to use the guided solidedge exercises, as the individual steps are well explained and documented with images.
I also answer to your other post saying that I would begin to study if from v20 and I would wait a moment to put hands on the st version, which presents a chaotic interface and little practice.

Bye!

thanks to all for the answers :) (I am always bi0 but I changed nick to avoid confusion with another bio :d)
I now install everything and start to unleash, I have seen that there are also interesting books on the technical design you know them and/or recommended?

g.francesco biggioggero, francesco giannastasio - industrial design (out of catalog but in the library maybe I find it)

industrial technical design volume 1
Chirone emilio; backincasa stefano
industrial technical design volume 2
Chirone emilio; backincasa stefano

uni, norms for technical design, voll. i and i

By the way, I have seen that regulations are one of the files that are sold on the site... but shouldn't they be free? Okay.

Thank you.

Hi.

I also add this book, unfortunately I did not find it in any bookstore (hoepli, rizzoli, etc)... they only sell it on amazon apparently.

What do you say?
engineering and technical drawing using solid edge version 20

I renew the invitation to watch online exercises before spending money in a text that seems quite valid.
At the time I also bought a similar text, but without the exercises, the online guide, the aid received from the posts of this forum and many hours of practice on cases of growing difficulty, I would never have learned solidedge.
Bye!

thanks to all for the answers, now I have the last problem....the most important:
find a license!!! !

Damn mine that I downloaded from the university site does not go, or rather the serial code does not generate me a valid key (scaduto?!, the unit has not renewed agreements with siemens?! boooh!)

I sent email to support siemens for info with attached code, maybe they reactivate it :d
It's all right, though, maybe the unit site isn't updated with new serials.

Thanks again and soon... hopefully:)
