import a board from illustror

solids

Guest
Good morning.

I would like to create a drawing board layout by importing the company logo into vector by illustrator. the logo has fillings (e.g. a colorful square) and I would like not to import only its profile.

it would be optimal in my opinion, to be able to save the logo as a solidworks block so that you can reuse it also in other layouts of drawing boards and/or cmq having it in an external file so that if the logo should change it will be enough to change this file-logo/blocco-logo to see the change in all the tables.

What is the best way to do all this according to you?
Thank you.

when you create a block in a drawing, it is inside that design. you can save it externally you x can use it in other jobs. but if you edit the changes will only affect the drawing that contains it of course. in others you have to change it manually. I suggest you create a logo in a cartella even with images and then insert the paper in the drawing templates.

So you're telling me that it's not possible to create a "outside" table layout recalled by all the tables?

it is possible to make a layout, which in solid is called format with which you create drawings. but once you create a design you can't change the format automatically, unless you use an ad hoc macro. It seems to me that it was spoken here on the forum and there should also be a macro that changes the size of the boards. the block speech instead works as we are accustomed to using in autocad...

but the format is not the "dimensions" of the sheet? I can't even find in the guide how to create a custom layout if not with direct modification... .

the format is what is "inside" of the drawing sheet. the plating is contained within the format, along with a possible caritiglio and other things like blocks, ect. ect. the sheet format customize it as you want and save it within the drawing template. you can also save it externally as a format that you can call back when you need it.
