Hello, everyone.
I would like to create points for coordinate system:
I have a file in excell with the coordinates of each point
proe gives me the possibility to import coordinates from external files but they are in ".pts" or ."ibl" format while excell does not mention it in alternatives.
Does anyone know how to do that? Thank you.

just change the file extension in windows.
in documents go under tools -> folder options and in the "view" window you have to make sure you have removed the tick to the "hide extensions for known file types".
at this point you rename by putting the extension .pts
open proe and import the file.

Hi.
p-h

save the excel file as .txt excretion text
check that the points are like this:

1 3.4 1
2 34 4
1 1111 1

a point for each row with coordinates separated from at least one space
rename from .txt to .pts and import.

sorry but in what situation it is necessary to import a .pts file?

I tried and activated completely unknown menus to me:confused:

.pts file is a cloud of points.
the cloud of points is the result of a measurement and is the starting point for reverse-engineering.
unknown commands belong to the rex module (reverse engineering extension).

Excuse me if I resume this discussion,
I have uploaded the points at least so it says:(
But I don't see where they're going?
