Hello everyone,
It's just a week I'm trying creo2 after so many years of wf5 and I'm caught up in an unpleasant drawback.
I try to explain:
First with the wf5, in the presence of a set, I could use the "research tool" function to identify all those components that came into a criterion, then filter them into the model tree and then finally go to change their textual parameters in the model tree.
with creo2 works everything except the last step, i.e. it doesn't allow me to edit the parameters of the components that identified me/filtrate.
I'm desperate. You know how I can solve this problem?

p.s. use creo2 m070

thanks and good work to all.

i.e. it doesn't give me a way to edit the parameters of the components that have identified me/filtrators.
Hello.
with I create 2 m230 everything ok, if I understand your problem well.

greetings

Hello nino67,
Meanwhile, thanks for the rapid response, you have perfectly understood what I want to get, but the filtering of the model tree I get it not with the "instant" filter but with the "find" command, I attach its image.trova.webpAs you can see, the parameter editor does not work.. .
...

... shit... excuse technicalism....
I raise with a question in the question... this particularly weird.
I found that, in the instant filter, you can concatenate multiple filter elements by separating them with a comma "," but the maximum limit of the font field is 32 letters/cifre, you know if you can increase?

In the meantime, thanks to the quotes to search for more codes, I didn't know.
However with creo 3 I do not have this limit of 32 characters

for those interested I "resolved" my problem by creating a monstrous macro....
from the find I create a layer (service) that includes all the results, then I create a simplified representation (also of service) (by default: exclude components) that recalls the components previously annexed in the layer rendoli visible in "main representation" and finally filter the tree going to remove the "objects" check from the "shaft filter" settings.
the result is correct but I would have wanted to save ste couple of hours of macro.... hate when in the presence of an update program inhibit functions. . .

I'm still waiting if someone can suggest me a better way, bye!

Hi, I'll try to answer if I know what you want.

try this way:

Once used the instant filter and “+” button of the same uses the dx button on a selected axieme element->change parameters.
you will open the parameters management window inherent to the preselection made.
select the desired parameter again button dx-> select all parameters with the same name, then perform the desired action (new button dx->change properties).

great bfausto!!! :finger:
I did not know this procedure!! !
That's what I was looking for! !
the only inaccuracy of your answer is that I initially required to start using the "search tool" command "ctrl+f" and not the "instantaneous filter". Still great!!! !
Since using the "research tool" command works equally well and in addition I can get the selection of "components" and not "parts", my last goal was to make a multi-management (e.g. first mass introduction or multi-substitution) of the "locazione_distinta" feature parameter and with your procedure, from the first tests done, it works well! ! !
Now I'll just enclose it all in macros.

Thanks again and good work!! !
eternally grateful, you are a great!! !
a 10 also for the forum and all the people who manage it! ! !

Hi.

thanks giant format to the forum also from me.

ps.
if you want to use the instant filter tool to search for components use:
"*.prt, *.asm, *. .... .....
