Hello guys, since I would like to buy a 3d x mouse use with sw, I ask you four tips and your experience to evaluate the product buy. I have seen the products of the 3dconnexion type the spacenavigator and in particular the new cadmouse, without getting to the superior products that have a high cost.
Do you think you can work well with these products from the most affordable cost, or do you have to get to the top of the range?
Thank you.

I use spacenavigator models without problems.
I had spacetraveller until they stopped supporting the latest op. systems.
I previously had the old serial models, those with multiple programmable keys, which I never used.
I don't even use the two buttons.
are minimal.
the only problem encountered is when I pass the controls at the airport, all come in alarm.

thanks x the answer. Then if I go to the airport it will mean that I will worry about finding a good isolating system! :
with the spacenavigator, when you are in sketch mode and you stand parallel to the sketch plane, you risk losing such parallelism by moving the knob x make a pan or you can block it? I don't know if you also use sw but maybe it's the same as x other software. . .

much better that you hold it at your fingertips, so that it is easily inspectable.
in Italy they don't give us any chance, in france and germany they have dismantled everything.

returning to the subject, the 3d rotation is valid both in modeling and sketching.
I immediately disable the parallel view on the sketch plane, so I don't mind the zoom or dancer.
If I need a linear motion or zoom, I replenish to the mouse, it will not be orthodox but I am accustomed to it.
I have already written several times, at the beginning with the 3d mouse it seems to go by boat in a rough sea, take the travelgum.
then you will no longer do without (of travelmouse, not of travelgum).

I confirm, now I'm my best friend when I'm on the PC... ;-) I have a basic spacenavigator, and I use the dx key as a midpoint snap when I use modeling.

in solid edge when I put myself in fashion, I sketch the spacenavigator automatically limits only to the pan and zoom, without making rotations. with solidworks instead, if I didn't forget some setting, I see that when you're in fashion, I sketch just touch the mouse the view wheel, even if you told the cad to get in orthogonal view when you come in sketchy, same problem with cocreate modeling, so in these cases it is better to use the pan and zoom functions of the cad.

Thanks hunter. I hope they will solve with sw too, so I think it is really essential to have a similar item.
Now I hope you read someone who took the new cadmouse x understand how you are.

drake use space navigator for two years and I can assure you that it is super, so super that if by chance I switch to a pc that does not seem to me to be Monco :-) if you want something more advanced try to take a look at the version with programmable buttons. the cad mouse is the perfect companion of the space navigator, go quiet, no more precise mouse

thank you lucadiletta. Is it possible to use cadmouse alone?
it will also be possible, but I would definitely invest the 100 heur in the 3d mouse, then, maybe, if it is the case and if someone tells me what advantages it has, I would spend the other 100 heur.
when my 99-exaggerated mouse will die.

Forgive me but I didn't understand... by mouse 3d you mean the spacenavigator?

hi drake, of course you can use it yourself but in this case apart from the high resolution and therefore its accuracy, you would work as with any other mouse. I highly recommend you buy it together with space navigator so you have a considerable advantage during work

Thank you. I think I'm convinced and sure to take the navigator and cadmouse, without going on the most evolved models that might be also unnecessary. . .

drake you'll surely find yourself well : a compulsory purchase I would say :)

Hi.
in truth nun aggia understood nothing:confused:
I ask a generic question

if I make a mathematical model in 3d with a normal mouse and use 100 hours
with a 3d mouse how much less do I put? ? ? :3515:
Thank you very much

It's like napoli-milano with a fiat 127 sports or a bmw 745. You're gonna take the same time if you go to the road code speed, but you get cooler and rested.

I mean, more than speed is, you're more relaxed and ergonomic.
