hello!....in our office we are updating 2 posts with new pcs on which will be installed windows7 64 bit

Currently we are using xp with regular license....according to you the registration code and autodesk activations remain valid? I mean, can we reuse it normally from one operating system to another?

the activation code will certainly be different.
You can migrate the license.
just put in the pool of machines the two new stations.
to tell the truth when I did this thing I always had a lot of apprehension, just miss typing the code of the host machine and you're "panato ".
I now prefer to ask for a new autodesk code or the dealer by explaining what happened.

if you have the subscription are much less formal and the activation you can do it via the internet without problems.
when the activation page asks you, connect and it's all automatic.
It is understood that you will have to uninstall inventor from the two previous machines.

you still have three (or five, I don't remember) "free" activations... beyond this number, just ask for the new code that is given without problems (obviously explaining why).
the only "coach" is that they could spend a few hours before they answer you (but they are usually fast enough).
ps: the codes are required directly to autodesk... the various possible steps are indicated during activation. . .
