Good evening to all gentlemen,
by browsing my manual of mechanics and doing research online, I noticed that no spring manufacturer, is able to provide an equation that allows me to calculate the maximum number of theoretical deflections, that a spring, properly sized, is able to perform.

I therefore ask those of you who have more experience than me (i.e. anyone, as I am still a student) if you know how to recommend documents from where I can find information about what I mentioned above.

hi, mould springs from all manufacturers indicated the number of cycles according to the percentage of deflection compared to the maximum charge.if you want to calculate it you must first have a spreadsheet with all geometric and tension formulas in the two working states.
then with haigh and whöeler calculates alternating voltage and number of cycles.

I only add that, in addition to deflection, it is important to consider also the minimum preload required by the manufacturer.
without precarious, in fact, the life of the spring is reduced drastically.
