Hi.
I see these parts unpopular....it makes me think....that also I have been for at least six months, for precision since I received autocad 2011,
I wanted to upgrade to 64 bits, but nothing. even today a wasted day, to try to update the macros from vba to net.
Until today looking, watching videos, browsing and trying I didn't do anything. I think that both microsoft and autodesk are making a big mistake abandoning the vbas for the net. They will lose a lot of slender who arranged, like me, but also others.

if you refer to the help, in options\system you can remove the check from "use guide on autodesk website if available", so the html files of the help folder of autocad will be used.

if you want a pdf test qui, il tasto download it would seem not to work, but since print works just print on pdfcreator (or equivalent). :tongue:

I autocad mechanical 2012 on a 64bit machine.

already using it normally I have the clear impression that it is overly slow (I have to do tests sooner or later to be sure) of its.

with vba then is a tragic thing (it is a conclaimed bug), of an exasperating slowness when accessing the properties of geometries or things like that.

But I am not a professional programmer, I have made some macros in vba to lift me and my colleagues from some tedious and repetitive operations, and it is not that I can spend time learning other languages, etc...

by the way, correct me if I'm wrong, but:
  • .net is paid, the development environment must be purchased and I don't think it costs little.
  • there would no longer be - with .net - a semi-integrated ide in autocad with which to test step-by-step procedures (thing of absolute comfort).
In my opinion, they are not the other smart ones who chose more "diffused" languages but more "complicated" to use, it was autodesk that provided a simple and powerful environment that allowed even to those, like me, program for hobbies to make "your appinis".
