Hi.
I see these parts unpopular....it makes me think....that also I have been for at least six months, for precision since I received autocad 2011,
I wanted to upgrade to 64 bits, but nothing. even today a wasted day, to try to update the macros from vba to net.
Until today looking, watching videos, browsing and trying I didn't do anything. I think that both microsoft and autodesk are making a big mistake abandoning the vbas for the net. They will lose a lot of slender who arranged, like me, but also others.
But be careful when they work they produce, and the macros served just not to get bored, not to miss and to go faster.
is net for programmers or not?
I'm not prolonging, but I'd like your opinion.
Hi.

Hello carry,

Your speech doesn't make a wrinkle, in fact, the slender produce... .
I think they can continue doing it with the lisp, at least for the most abordable level, and of course dcl.

the .net platform according to me has become indispensable, if you want to look to the future, just take a look at the medium or high-end cads are all oriented towards customizations with java, j-link, c#, c++.
In short, you have to think about growing professionally:tongue::tongue:

the problem is that currently there is very little around examples and in Italian even less. guides or manuals, other than the interior of autocad, are absent:

all this obviously delays learning a lot, will come better times.......

Bye to all,
I would also like to start converting all macros from vba to .net.
I wanted to ask you: the autocad internal .net manual is only available online
or is there a real file saved somewhere like it was for the vba?

Thank you.

if you refer to the help, in options\system you can remove the check from "use guide on autodesk website if available", so the html files of the help folder of autocad will be used.

if you want a pdf test qui, il tasto download it would seem not to work, but since print works just print on pdfcreator (or equivalent).

ciao a tutti,
io non riesco a stampare in pdf.........qualcuno ha già fatto?

bb

non stampare tutto il documento in una sola volta, fai dei gruppi di 20/30 pagine.

I was just looking for a post like this.

I autocad mechanical 2012 on a 64bit machine.

already using it normally I have the clear impression that it is overly slow (I have to do tests sooner or later to be sure) of its.

with vba then is a tragic thing (it is a conclaimed bug), of an exasperating slowness when accessing the properties of geometries or things like that.

But I am not a professional programmer, I have made some macros in vba to lift me and my colleagues from some tedious and repetitive operations, and it is not that I can spend time learning other languages, etc...

by the way, correct me if I'm wrong, but:
  • .net is paid, the development environment must be purchased and I don't think it costs little.
  • there would no longer be - with .net - a semi-integrated ide in autocad with which to test step-by-step procedures (thing of absolute comfort).
In my opinion, they are not the other smart ones who chose more "diffused" languages but more "complicated" to use, it was autodesk that provided a simple and powerful environment that allowed even to those, like me, program for hobbies to make "your appinis".

I am quite desperate: a lot of code to throw :frown:

Unfortunately there is no integrated ide in autocad. if in the future will be integrated one does not know...
in any case there are still free ide for development in c# or vb.net.

but do you know if with free ones you can produce stuff that then autocad charge?

first of all a cordial greeting to the whole community' cad3d.
It doesn't look bad.net
I remember when I started programming with visual basic 3.0.. tape headache, lost hours for an apostrophe...
You have to make a small sacrifice: Let's say it is a language for ladies (who doesn't offend anyone) while .net is more articulated. But the .net makes you a separate .dll file to load in autocad, something more robust than the vba, more easily distributed. I agree that there is no integrated editor, but visual basic express is free and you can do the apps you want.just enter the references when you set the program and after a little you go away more' loose.insomma once you understand the 4 lines to insert to interact with the objects everything is as before.force boys do not dash when it is difficult to learn but we think about the satisfactions that we will have gotten.
