Misano, 21 lungio 2009 – think3, multinational celebrating 30 years of product development activity this year, announces the release of thinkdesign 2009.1, the new release cad developed and improved by think3's r&d to offer more powerful features to those who work in styling, engineering and tooling.
the release 2009.1 introduces new functions for the construction of frames for the industrial machinery world, improvements to the controls for the processing of curves and surfaces, evolutions in the processing of sheet metal and many other innovations for the machinery and components industry.
the new version presents functionality The shipyard as a fully integrated form in thinkdesign. the frame module simplifies the process of creating frame structures with tools of extreme simplicity of use and, at the same time, of great power and flexibility to obtain a significant reduction of design time.
in order to make the work of designers increasingly smooth and productive, command hole has been redesigned offering greater ease of use and completeness, respecting standards.new also the reflection for the change of curves and surfacesconsisting to maintain the continuity of the curve/surface that is changing compared to the reflection plan of the entity. Additional groups of options allow full control to define the type of continuity to be maintained around a plan selected by the user.
improvements have also been made to global modeling, with the function of gsm transformation of mesh, which allows to change the original mesh thanks to gsm technology (global shape modeling).
for the design of moulds in the sheet metal sector have been introduced novelty in the die design module. the new command reduction gsm connection allows you to change a set of fitting surfaces by changing the curvature and at the same time maintaining the required continuity along the edges. can be used to modify some areas with high curvature so as to allow appropriate filling of the material during molding.
di grande utilità la color management for solids and solid faces, that facilitates understanding of elements in complex projects and allows for better dynamic visualization. it is possible to assign a color to a component to better display it in the axieme. the color is maintained even after making changes or additions to the characteristics of the component or after imploding/exploding solids and surfaces.
the graphic environment has been improved with the new mode View in section 3d, la planar reflection in high quality dynamic display, the drag&drop components assembled in shading mode and a series of behaviors that further facilitate the user's approach.
with regard to new features and improvements in machining, to report the function insert faces, introduced in the command selection list extends solid faces/closes, which allows to create new faces to fill the selezi holesfast and easy wave with considerable time saving in complex models.
to report also the extension of the integration of Cadanas libraries and full integration with td plm, the web based solution for the implementation of a think3 plm system.
