I have just this license but the message is "nx license error: no such feature. [-5]", secondo voi cosa must fare?
You have to write to siemens and regenerate your license now. . .
what you have (nx9) was done before the nx9.0.1 exit and did not contain it.
to check just that you go into file licenses and look for "nx_subdivision"... you will see that there is and there will be in the new version of the file.

Then let us know how you find yourself

Let me know how it goes...
I make a terrible effort to use subdivisions.. .
a friend of my son saw them and for him it's all normal because he uses blender to create videogames.
I'm old!
:frown:

excuse the_matrix but this thing to update the license you have to request it at every update or it only served in this case?

only this time as a new module was introduced in mr, including an existing license (nx13300)

another question about installing nx, having purchased a new disk I am installing both 8,5 and 9.0 from head and wondering if (I only have the mach 1) there is a list of packages to install to limit the space occupied on the disk. For example, I already know that catia converters will not work and therefore do not install them but who knows how much more space of the disk I will go to occupy unnecessarily because to my unknowing install packages not supported by my version.
until yesterday with the classic discs I had no problem because I installed so much space there was, but today with the ssds that not to spend too much are a little smaller, it would be convenient to have a guide to know what to install.

thanks in advance;)

Yes, there is this possibility.
when you start the installation you can decide whether to do it "typical", where it puts everything, or go to select what to install.
I on the ssd disk I have 3 ug, a mv with a tc armed of 4gd and it is all quietly.

thanks to the answer but I was looking for a list where there was written which package to install for those who have the mach1.

Sorry, I don't understand.
go to the installation and choose which part to install. . .
what you see quite detailed in your license file.
definitely all part cam, that cae no because nx/nastran is also used in the basic module.
to save space on the ssd disk, definitely what you can do is put the documentation on a traditional disk.... that really takes up so much space.

for me it is not so clear cmq I will try, my fear is to have to put my hand back on the installation in case I miss some package. I was wondering if there was a detailed list of which packages to install and which ones not.

but the installation also "typical", without doc will take away, that I know, 3-4 gb... do you have a ssd so small you have to do all "pippe"? ?
to the limit also remove the documentation of what's news.
then you will see that if you are looking for *.pdf there are descriptive documents for example of the flexlm.

I have a 120gb ssd and I put it:
3 versions of nx ( 6 / 7.5 / 8.5 )
2 slicing software - stratasys
4 free slicing software - (care / repetier /makerware etc. )
full office package
management software
and a range of small other cavities

tot 90gb occupied including paging files ..

with a 250gb ssd advancing according to me.
p.s. .. the documentation of nx obviously installed it on the data disk from 1 tb, so much not consulted so often

I did the typical installation not to make me so many pee as suggested. (nx8+mr8.5.3+mp7) + (nx9+mr903+mp) = 22gb without documentation of course. considering windows and siemens updates that will arrive and the fact that a ssd to keep fit in terms of performance should not be exploited beyond half the total capacity, in 2 years I will be hanged again.

In two years I wonder if ssd technology will still be so expensive, since I took my ssd prices became 1/3 .
so if in two years you will need it, I believe that 1tb ssd is as expensive as your current .
even if I think in two years you will have to change the pc :-)

I was looking at my ssd now.
Nx8.5 = 9.3 gb
Nx9 = 33 gb
nx10 ph23 = 11 gb
... there must be something wrong with nx9... :bekle:
Maybe I put in the doc without realizing it. . .

Hello everyone,
for work reasons I have to use unigraphics nx (I have version 9.0). since they are in the beginning I would need some documentation (manual, guide, etc.) possibly in Italian. My mail is [email protected]Thank you in advance

there is the online help to install.
there is the what's new section, to see the differences from the old versions.
there are some videos on youtube.

but without a little (even a minimum) training, I see it a little hard to use a cad like nx.

That's why I wanted to have some documentation to see something and not just start from scratch.
