Hello everyone,
in our pdm solidwork professional (built by self-taught), I would like to exclude (inhibit) some parts and assemblies from the tree copy. Currently we have excluded obviously all the parts that are in the vendor library folder, excluding the folder, but if I wanted to exclude some parts I could do it only by hand (operation between other things not immediate as the parts are numbered by the pdm itself).
In practice I would like to somehow change the status of the parts or assemble and put them in a "state of library".
I try to explain better, in the company we make steel cabinets, the customer asks me a 700 mm cabinet. I open a similar one from 600, make the tree copy and put it in the order folder. therefore I modify it and I bring it to 700.
when I make the tree copy, hinges, handles and all the things I buy (as put in the vendor library folder) are not copied. However there are some standard parts that we do as the handle support that I would like it to be treated as part of library even if it does not belong to a supplier (or better it is as if it were internal supplier). the simple thing, would be to move the parts produced internally and of which is expected to be re-use in the supplier folder, but so doing I exclude them from some automated operations that are useful to me, such as pdf and dwg table generation, dxf for cutting and more.
How can I solve this?
Sorry, but I don't have the gift of synthesis
