Hello everyone,
I am designing a completely plastic wheel, made of two specular parts that mate, and at the ends of the central hole there will be on each side a joke, such that once you join the two parts, will be set of always plastic rollers, which will go directly to contact with the tree.
I am looking for material to be able to size them:
1. the diameter of the rollers (I know the length that is equal to the total length of the two coupled parts)
2. the number of rollers
3. evaluate whether to create a caged housing, or simply leave them free in a circular crown.
I only have a university book of mechanics, but it deals with ball bearings or rollers, always assuming steel, for roller bearings I have nothing!
Can you help me? !
Thank you!
