poor software performance

good evening to all, I am an engineering student and recently bought a p50 lenovo (intel xeon e3, nvidia picture m2000m, unity samsung ssd...), an excellent machine, to ensure maximum performance in all kinds of work (I also make use of external); Unfortunately already from the first day I realized that the performance I expected to check is not present, in the sense that I was convinced to find a car that had no doubt in front of any operation: I ask you that already in the simple use of autocad in 2d slowdowns are not few (already only at opening the program takes quite a while), and same happens for other programs; I would therefore like to understand from you (certainly more informed than me) how to improve the compatibility of programs with the pc, understand if the problem could be of the pc itself or more. I have personally hypothesized some problems: I thought that programs and all packages are installed in the hd rather than on the ssd disk that should ensure better features, or even that the presence of the 4k monitor slows the opening of programs that still do not support this resolution (such as autocad), or still that I should set some sort of settings at the time of purchase to ensure the best configuration of the workstation. What do you think?

As for autocad, the 2018 version should have finally introduced support to 4k screens.
try downloading the demo and see if it improves something.

hi I have an inspiron 7000 gaming with 4k display and gtx 1050 you, but also I have the same problem your also known a little fluid problems , now darkly I have no nvidia picture but a gtx , but cmq the pc is powerful , thanks
