Hi, guys, I'm in front of a problem I can't solve. . I have to apply a material (created by me) to a wall... the material reproduces of the tiles but nn I can make it start from the right summit... to be clearer... I have a muretto thick 10 cm and I would like these 10 cm to be occupied by 2 whole tiles and nn a whole and 2 half right and left.... I tried using a texture and it's okay... However thus losing the normal map and the material in rendering nn has the same yield...
Can anyone help me?
thanks in advance

I do not think I have understood well, but the texture can be resized, rotate and move from the menu materials

I apologize if I interfere with the discussion. I recently noticed the graphic quality reached through the use of this rendering engine, so I would need a few tips to decide on what to do. First of all I would like to know whether it is easy to learn and whether the quality of the interior (which is what struck me most) remains unchanged for the outside (which I think is quite unlikely)

then another perplexity is given by the fact that the rendering in question ( http://www.giuseppelabua.it/wp-content/uploads/2006/12/artlantis_02.jpg) enjoys a maniacal care as to internal furnishings, I therefore ask how much of the final yield is really due to the possibilities offered by this software and whether the difference of quality is such as to justify the passage from archicad to artlantis always regarding the phase of rendering and more the insertion of objects

In my opinion, archicad is not made to make renderings, it collaborates so well with artlantis and cinema. artlantis is a dignified program, which if you use it with all crisms makes a lot in relation to the time necessary to learn it (very little) and the time necessary to set up and make renderings. on the outside working there are also dignified results, but you have to work well on the materials. also very interesting thing that does atl is to save in psd on levels, to facilitate photo editing with photoshop

Well maybe you're not very accustomed to working with lightworks because even there you can get discreet results even if not photorealistic, however both in the time that I will have available I will try to dismantle a bit to learn to use also arlantis since the guide of the program does not work

I wanted to ask you a couple of things. I knew that to apply the shaders and then the textures to the various building elements it was necessary to select the desired material from the catalog and drag it in proximity to the object to which you want to apply, but during rendering I did not notice the change while having operated the procedure for how I described it just above. then I would also like to know how to import textures that are not inserted in the program libraries itself.

thanks in advance for the answers:finger:

What version of artlantis do you have?
I use for years only the branch artlantis studio. It is actually very simple, as long as you are not completely fasting the concept of "creating a texture". you can click on "create a new material" (or something like that) and a screen appears to be "compiled" with various bumps, normal, reflection, etc., to which you can also vary the depth values. They are generally good.

not having noticed the change I think depends on this: you import from archicad an object to which on archicad you have already assigned a material with a texture, like bricks. when you give him a new material with artlantis, he does not replace everything, but adds. you should therefore from the pranked materials (or object, I escape at the moment) eliminate the old texture of archicad. I use archicad 12 and arthlantsi studio 2. with these two the export of the model from archicad is facilitated by a scermata that asks me what to export, there I can uncheck the textures and avoid some problems on atl.

Look, it's not that I'm not used to working in lightworks, it's that I don't like the results that come out, in relation to the time you use to set all the parameters for good. Incidentally, the rendering you posted before is good according to me, but not exceptional, probably not complete yet. is a demonstration more than anything you can do with atl without losing a whole game.
