the configuration file is : c:\programmi\cocreate\me10\..\dxf\dxf.con
the message file is : c:\programmi\cocreate\me10\..\dxf\dxf.ms"

or description:

the above instruciotn are related to the me10 <--> dxf/dwg batch traslator. some hints here:

it is possible that your file has been created on a unix workstation so may be they are not compatible with a windows workstation.

is there a downloadable installer for windows and unix of this program in which i could open these files?

can i ask for links?

hi kolkers.
i opened the files and saved them in .mi (me 10.50) and .dxf format; you can download them here.
i don't know of any free programs that can open me10 files.
have a nice day

hi radio,

you are saving my life. is there a chance that i could buy such a program and open such files myself?

what program did you use to open it? what version?
i have more of these files and i would like to get to them and save them in the dxf version as you did

can you tell me what i need to buy and install to open such files?

how many files? i can try it for free if they are not too much. otherwise you have to buy a license of creo/direct drafting, but i have no idea of the cost of the software.

you can compress a sample file in zip format and attach it here, to check if it is possible to translate it to an exchange format.

thank you very, very much for your help. this forum was my last resort. nobody was able to open these files. we looked through all modern cad files and none could open these files.

there are a lot of files (hundreds), so i will need to purchase either a monthly or annual license.

i will let you know if i managed to purchase the license.

actually the translator can work in "batch" mode, so it is not an issue to translate one or 200 files. if you want to attach a sample we can have a look to the possibility of the translation, before you decide to buy or not to buy the software. if you cannot attach a sample file for reason of privacy, please send me a private message with a wetransfer link.

i need to talk to my boss if he will agree to more files. i will send some files in a private message.

regards

these files where made with me10 on unix workstation. at that time the me10 files had no extension. today on drafting (the new name of me10) on windows, these files would have the extension ".bi".

to view these files, you can use modeling express (the free version of modeling which is the 3d brother of drafting). it is free : creo elements/direct modeling express 6.0 download | ptc

this software is provided with a dxf or dwg translator that you can use in batch. it is located in
c:\program files\ptc\creo elements\direct modeling express 8.0\dxfdwg
