problems save filename ipt iam

Hello everyone, I tried to search the forum but I don't think I found anything like that.
use inventor 2023 and I have a problem related to saving ipt and iam files.
in practice if I try to save files with a name formed by an alphanumeric string that ends with a point and with 2/3 numbers the name of the saved file is truncated before the point without warnings.
I give you an example:
if the name of the part must be xxxxxxx.123 or xxxxxxx.12 I find myself in the rescue xxxxxxx.ipt (o) xxxxxxx.iam if it were a set)
the only way I found to overcome the problem is to manually add the .ipt or .iam extension when entering the code, which is very uncomfortable since with all other programs it does not happen.
Have any of you ever had this problem?
can depend on windows (although it only happens to me with inventor)?

in my opinion "sees" the .123 as " file extension and then truncates it
have you tried with _123? xxxxxxx_123.ipt

definitely happens what described by matteo: have you disabled the option "hide extensions for known file types"? I'm not sure it works, but I'd try. I have not enabled it and can save pippo.123, automatically save it as pippo.123.ipt so you can do what you ask.

to me the same thing happens but not always. I mean not to all the rescues. It happened to me in some particular situations that I don't remember anymore. If I don't remember badly, I've obvious for the first time. ipt o. iam and subsequently in subsequent rescues.. (since I was most consecutive) in the rescue window, I was selecting the previous file, so that it appeared to me in the rescue field by name, at that point I changed the interest rate and save the new name.
