radial hole creation on cylinder

Hello, everyone.

Have patience, I'm learning to use v5 cat and I can't figure out how to make a radial hole to a cylinder.
with pro/e it is sufficient to select the cylindrical surface and then two references, one for the angle and the other for the distance.
as seen in the attached image the hole was reported on the front floor with a angle of 30° and a distance of 20 from the top surface of the cylinder.
What is the procedure to be done with catia to get an identical hole to the image?
I hope in your help... thank you all for the support you give

Hi.
with catia you have to create references to perform operations with different parameters than standard ones. In this case you have to create a 20mm plan from the top of the cylinder, on this plane you do a sketch creating a 30 ° line compared to your plane. Step out of the click sketch on the hole command select the line first and then the cylinder supersize and enter your values.

thanks to theex,
I had imagined that it was necessary to build and I had tried something like this, but this solution seems to me the best.
At first I thought there was some special option for radial holes like on pro-e, but I was wrong.
Thank you so much!

48.webpIt seems to me that there is a simpler method:
if you are used to use an axle system, you can use the 3d constraint command to bind the angle you require without further procedure.

only neo:
the bond is not editable! ! ! !
I'm looking for a solution.
if I find something I'll let you know

Bye-bye.

in fact falonef your way is a little frozen the idea of the terna is good.

according to me the ideas of the curves of the tarts and excellent managed with the parameters would be better I usually do so changing the angles of eulero directly from the parameter

allego video of how I would do

greetings

In short, the monster also catches on rather simple operations. :-)
Let's talk about parametric:finger:

it's complicated and very parametric patrik, then things can do in a variety of ways, only if you know the potential of such software the same operation you can do with at least 3 4 different ways..... if we go to compare the 2 software we can say that they are equal but cat and a little more colorful and puts you in trouble even more pro\e

they said that pro\e was complicated they still have to see caia: eek: how much more it is

bvp is not discussed I repeat patrick but according to you who and more parametric joke:wink:

I'll let you know

I attach another video with different modes of playing the hole with references and geometric construction directly from the drilling editor mask

You know that mine is a pure "provocation" of fun and I don't doubt that there are several ways to do this simple operation.

I don't know who of the two is more parametric, catia I tried it for too little time and too many years ago, but I actually saw a lot of beautiful things of this sw, so I know its potential in a more general way we say.

I was just a little surprised that for a radial hole there is no special command in the instrument all here, since they all say that pro/e and ostico and difficult, it is nice to see that it is not so! :-)

in the simplest way caia puts it normal to the surface.... ok then being aeronautical works a lot with vectors see angles of eulero vectors and parameters with skeleton already pre-established

I don't remember:rolleyes: but pro\e manages to make several variations for the realization of the hole I have and frozen in the screen of the editor I used it in wf2
