recognition of functions in inventor

Hello, after searching for benign I did not find a suitable answer to my question: when amounting a step file or other cad file in inventor, shouldn't there be the function recognition option? I found this thing on the web: inventor feature recognition technology, but it seems not to work a lot. Can anyone give me an opinion on this? Thank you.

if with "functions" you mean "works" (insomma, features in English) that I know there is this, although I suppose it is what you have already found. that I know the interchange formats make the working tree disappear. . .

Yes, it is, the steps and the like make the tree disappear.... Have you tried the application I mentioned above? ?
