Good evening to all,

the company for which I work using the pdm needs parts, assemblies and drawings that have the common name equal to the file name.
for the parts and the assemblies is enough to save a copy and everything is ok while for the drawings this is not enough and all the times I have to check with the rename command if the name corresponds, I ask you there is a command that allows me to see from the general assieme the details and drawings that have a different name? Can modelcheck help me? Thank you.

Hi.

There is no tool that does this but you can make a custom windchill toolkit that automatically reallines the db at every checkin..

costs enough and you have to find the consultant willing to do it... seems a cabled but windchill is very complex in its operation and search for links therefore a massive action must be customised taking into account all the possible variables that will be generated.

I hope I've been helpful.

Hi.

Bye. I hook up with this topic because I have a related problem: after migrating from intralink 3.4, some .prt files maintained a "filename" different from the "name" and the "number", but now I can no longer change the "filename" parameter. It's just bothering me to have parts with an old name in a new set of names. Is there an escamotage? Thank you.
