I am desperately looking for cad programs to use on my drunk 12.04 lts 32 bit

What version of templates do you recommend me to install?
and how can I import and meshare geometries on openfoam?

find it on the code-aster website, which is now down so I can't give you the link, but go on www.code-aster.org and then look.

I don't know openfoam, salome accepts iges and steps as input formats.

is a version that is not developed directly from the edf (they only make 64 bit), compiled to 32 bits from this other company called alneos. If you don't have operating system constraints, I strongly recommend 64 bits, because the 32-bit one goes into ram crisis quite quickly.

And then I have another question, what is the lgpl license?

is a substantially opensource license, except for some portion of the software contained in the package: The first is for "lesser", which is to say that this software is a little less than gpl. Don't worry about it, just use the program.

If you don't have any doubts with English, I suggest you sign up for the code-aster forum, you'll need it and it's an information mine.

almost certainly is 32-bit, however to be sure to write this command in a terminal:

uname -a

And then tell us what the system answers.

Probably the file you downloaded got corrupted. Try downloading from the top.
