Hello, everyone.

I'd like to try to build a couple of seals to try on an equipment that I finished the project.

saga hd 350 in tube, in silicone practice.

I'd just have a plate where I'd do the milling, I'd pass the open side with a racla and wait for it to volcanite at room temperature.

Rectangular section seal : 10x5
external rectangular shape : 300x100 approx.
I have no tolerances to respect.

my question: what kind of material can I use to build a "provisional" mold, where does the silicone not stick?

Thank you.

That's right.

Hi.

There is a two-component product with very high smoothness that once "catalized" (about 24 hours) becomes an excellent industrial seal resistant to most substances.

the mould can be made of aluminum, applying a special spray detachment.

for more info, contact me.

I drive,
I forgot about the most important thing I should be like 15-20 sh hardness.

the product you refer to has this feature?

Bye-bye.

Hi.

from catalog I see shore to 70.....I think a little too "hard" for your application.

I am about to buy from ray tech a two-component, silicone rubber 15 sh, liquid.
they say that I can make the mold in any material and that once vulcanized (environmental temperature) comes off without problems.
Bye-bye.

I confirm he's detached. Industrial molds are usually made of steel and the figures are cleaned only occasionally with lubricants (commercials I think sylastic) but the detachment is quite simple.
Note: you could also make self-lubricating seals that are even better off.
