simplify families

Hello everyone!

Surely he's already talked about it but I couldn't find a great deal!

These are the first times I work in revit.

I would like to know if there is a way to simplify families.
I'll explain better.
Many of the families I downloaded have many superfluous lines in the plant and prospective view.
so I ask if you can delete/hide some of these without affecting the model and its representation in 3d so as to get some clearer tables!

Thank you so much in advance!

Thank you very much for the answer!! !

Where can I study the procedure?
would you recommend some useful links?

Thank you very much

What do you mean by superfluous lines?
if you refer (for example) to the opening lines of the doors, that is the position of encumbrance of the open doors (which are seen in the plants), these lines are linked to other entities of the family. the cancellation "tout court" of such lines could create "problems" to the family

there are 3 levels of detachment, which can be assigned to the elements of the family. open families, select objects and change the cutoff level. also, you can create new elements easier that are visible in the view of the plant only.
