I would need to understand the principle of operation of the proposed piece below.

In particular, I would like to understand how moving the lever can achieve a rotation and simultaneous translation of the upper part with relative locking of the chosen position.

It's just a game of levers.
a "parallelogram" with different value sides, but appropriate, to reach the required positions.
Is it a device to change the point of the parables? (I watched it without audio, maybe the guy says it too)

thanks for the answer even if I still struggle to understand the complete operation. I hope other kind people like you will talk about the discussion:
regarding your question, it is not a parable pointer even if you could safely use it in my opinion. :finger:
the component in question must be mounted on a tripod for audio speakers allowing to orientate the case according to the audience.

as already said stefanobruno is a simple parallelogram with asymmetric sides.
the inclined asola that you see on the side makes that, moving the side group, the same goes up in z.
the contemporary rotation is given by the different length of the sides of the parallelogram.
