hello to everyone, before asking for assistance I wanted to hear who fights on the field.
Are you using st5? Do you recommend to mount it?

I particularly care about x multibody support that could be useful... but if he's stable!

other question: turn on xp? I have 2 pcs, one of which is old and should change it:
advice on what type of machine (especially graphics card)?
can I think of keeping the other machine with xp (64bit) or will it be necessary to switch to win 7 also on that?

Hi.

Bye!

you can't even install st5 on xp (see siemens :mixed on the site). works only with win 7 and despite being using it recently, on win7 to 64bit works very well (frame graphics card etc...)

... also works with windows view..io st5 use with a 32-bit version and it works fine. As for the video card... I believe that even a gamer with a lot of ram can give you satisfaction. .

in xp nothing has been developed for a couple of years, the latest release has been the st3 but only because in use they had protested when before the exit they communicated that it could not be installed anymore.

you should upgrade also because apart from ws it seems to me that if you now take a new pc already propinate windows 8 and without possibility of downgrade to 7

I have st4 installed on 2 pcs: xp 32 and xp 64.
the downgrade to win 7 I took it for granted... Anyway I wanted to take a serious car, card not game: who less spends more money imho.
I wanted to take a picture card, only that it's a bit that I don't look at us and I don't know how to choose between the various sigles, cmq now I also call in assistance and feel that they say...

Hi.
only works on win 7
just installed on new pcs
looks stable

I'm also in the same situation, I work with st3 and I have the st5 in the drawer, I was waiting for someone to answer if it was actually worth putting it in to take advantage? if what?

for informational reasons, the last release that went on xp is the st4, source: assistance.
the advantages of 5 from my point of view the multibody

Hi.
the last was the st3, st4 cannot be installed on xp, source: readme.htm files on c:\program files\solid edge st4 and installation test 7-8 months ago on pc in workshop, then updated to win 7.

tequila excuse but I am writing you from a car with xp and the st4 floating license. Maybe it's the license program that I'm running on the server the problem, but if it runs on 2 pcs both with xp (32 and 64)

hi, I have to change the video card to the pc that I found in the company, and in anticipation of an upgrade to the new version yes if, I wanted to know if a k600 is an acceptable or poor picture.
Now I have a notebook with a nvidia geforce.... but it's pretty slow and you don't see too well. I do +revalently assimilate with several parts, and some of these are electronic sinks and electronic scedes, so it is quite detailed and heavy. I was talking to him yesterday about what he's following us for the pcs and he gave me a couple of prices. k600 by 200€, but the 4000 already goes beyond 800.
I don't want to take an exaggeratedly performing card, but not even a "sweet".
What do you suggest?
I don't remember that picture card had put me on where I worked before, but now it's a few years ago, so I also knew it is not worth.

By the way. the pc I use ura has win7.

I can tell you that if starting from st6 uses the latest generation cards very well.
according to me the k600 has a good price ratio\performances, I use an old fx1800 and I am still satisfied at a distance of years.

Hi.
If I have to be honest on my old notebook I had a geforce 7600 and it was fine with the 20.

I have also proposed a k2000d picture that costs 445€ and is more preforming than the k600, of course. What are you saying? with any upgrade to current st works? Does anyone use it?

If you can afford it go to K2000!
