you can't even install st5 on xp (see siemens :mixed on the site). works only with win 7 and despite being using it recently, on win7 to 64bit works very well (frame graphics card etc...)
 
... also works with windows view..io st5 use with a 32-bit version and it works fine. As for the video card... I believe that even a gamer with a lot of ram can give you satisfaction. .
 
in xp nothing has been developed for a couple of years, the latest release has been the st3 but only because in use they had protested when before the exit they communicated that it could not be installed anymore.

you should upgrade also because apart from ws it seems to me that if you now take a new pc already propinate windows 8 and without possibility of downgrade to 7
 
I have st4 installed on 2 pcs: xp 32 and xp 64.

the last was the st3, st4 cannot be installed on xp, source: readme.htm files on c:\program files\solid edge st4 and installation test 7-8 months ago on pc in workshop, then updated to win 7.

I can tell you that if starting from st6 uses the latest generation cards very well.
according to me the k600 has a good price ratio\performances, I use an old fx1800 and I am still satisfied at a distance of years.

If I have to be honest on my old notebook I had a geforce 7600 and it was fine with the 20.

I have also proposed a k2000d picture that costs 445€ and is more preforming than the k600, of course. What are you saying? with any upgrade to current st works? Does anyone use it?
