evening to all. .I am a mechanical engineering student, recently I realized through this program a 3d camshaft. I realized the file as "part". Now I should print such drawing in a sheet with a0 format and I would like to ask if you can print multiple views in scale 1:1 in one sheet...I made various attempts but nothing...in addition I should put, always in this sheet, the 2d view of the piece with quotas and views from above and from below made on autocad mechanical 2014... is it possible to do this? thanks in advance

obviously depends on how big the camshaft is.. .
a of this, it is sufficient to create a design of the part, file format slddrw, and starting from a view extract the projections (not only two-dimensional), or if you want to see customized position in the file part the object as you want and save a new view by name; then it can be recalled in the design by the feature manager new view finding it under the icons of classical orthogonal rojections

Why not quoti with solidworks? Moreover, it exploits the parameters of the program and the automatic projections. if instead the customer wants the design in mechancal first of all you can extrapolate the views in solidworks and then save the design in dwg format and anyway I don't think it is possible, but being an astruse thing I never tried and I could say feseries

I recommend doing the tutorials, saving your life or at least simplifying it

thanks for the answer...the tree is small because it is of a scooter...about 20 cm...unfortunately I do not know very well the program because it is the first 3d design that I realize with solidworks. ..so I should try starting from the 3d part to extract the various projections if I understood correctly...c is a command that does this directly from the 3d design that I have realized or should I refer it back to 2d?

exactly what you have to do is not well understood, however if you have a 3d model made with sw just put it on the table on a sheet a3 and set the scale of drawing 1:1 and when molds do 100% and not suitable to the format. you will get a 1:1 print of the sheet.
Besides, you can copy and paste images and more on the table and integrate everything you need. if you carry everything in dwg and there you finish to mount what you want as presentation and autocad molds or draftsight that is free of 3ds.

hello thanks for the answer...I explain better...I made the 3d design with solidworks but when I try to print it allows me to print only a single view while I need more views in a single sheet a0...I tried to save all individual views in pdf and then in jpeg though at the time of printing in a0 the various views of the.pezzo are torn. . .

- file menu > new design model
- Select options for sheet size/size
- in the propertymanager view of the model, select a model to open documents or navigate to a part or together; in case the propretymanager does not appear or close by mistake before entering the view from the menu insert of the design>model.
- place the first view by setting various scale options, display status etc.
- get the other views with the command insert design > projected.
- place the views as you prefer. (if you change the primary view of the orientation of the other views and their settings, unless they have been made independent, they will be adapted accordingly)
- save
- print

I repeat, in guide There are explanations, it goes as if you have to read a little, and I trust that you have done it, and especially if you can't do a procedure explain it in more detail than you have done. at least with a screenshot to understand how you work and in what environment (if table or part)

personally I happen to work for customers who use autocad; I am less time, and with more precision, to make the development in solid, but then obviously I have to deliver the drawings in dwg; then I make the table of the details with only the projections and carry out in dwg.

Of course, but I was referring to exposing a table to be listed in autocad, mechanical etc as standard modus opearandi. the student who opened the thread seems to me not to deliver elaborate 2d to customers who will provide further processing on the boards. I simply think I don't know that swx allows the table, quotation and printing of all the views that he needs directly inside:smile:

perfect...thank you very much...in the end I will make two tables but in what mold from solidworks I will put the views with this process... already I have tried and can put all that I need...thank you again... at this point I just have to understand how to change the preset from solidworks or how to import another done from me on autocad...unfortunately to the university have not explained how to use these programs...thanks yet
