Hello, I vx don't know him, but if you're a moldist a softwere to be evaluated absolutely is supersoli.
It is a totally parametric cad with attached cam (very powerful) and also has very valid modules, specific for satmps, both sheet and plastic.
Take a look, it's worth it.

do you want to know what is the real axle heel of the moulder? management and modelling of imported mathematicians. almost all the parametric cads have evolved in advanced modeling but until now I have not seen any cad, even among the most renowned, manage, repair and model (with recalculation of the surfaces of origin) the imported mathematicians with the ease with which it does vx. why: is the only true parametric hybrid modeler.

also topsolid is a hybrid parametric cad.
it has inside, all part of the surfaces that it manages in an egregia way.
among other things the version 7 just output, manages the surfaces in class a+, therefore remarkable.
clearly,when amounts,especially to work on the cam part you have to do the sewing operation if there are anomalies,but this allows you to make your element a solid wanting and then work it better and above all parameterize it.

I fully agree on your last consideration, that is, moldists, and not only, once you choose a cad/cam site, you no longer look around looking for improvements.
However if you want to go to dharma engineering website and download the demo version of vx cad-cam. the product in Italy is marketed.
