weight on family table variants

Hi.

I have a problem for calculating weight on a family table:

the family guides the variants for a fusion, in the case: has a generic model, 1 type a fusion model, 1 type b fusion model, 1 model of the worked axle, 1 model of the b worked.

Now, I set a metric system as a system and I have as a basic unit for weight the grams; I use as values for the materials the files that I downloaded from this same forum, the problem is that by assigning one of these materials to the model, the precalculated weight (pro_mp_mass) comes out in kilos, so 335 grams are me 0.335...to avoid I entered a report that multiplies by 1000 the pro_mp_mass parameter; the thing works on individual components, where clearly multiplying by 1000 the parameter you get weight in grams, but I care about the above fusion (and of course on every other family):

the system performs correctly multiplication on the generic model giving as a result 335 grams, sin that on the variants performs this multiplication twice, and gives me as a result 335000 grams, performs the relationship twice and I do not understand why. .

Can anyone help me?

Strange, it doesn't happen to me, what version do you use? have you created a new parameter in the relationship? I have a relationship like this weight=pro_mp_mass*10^x where x is the multiplication factor that corrects any discrepancy on the measuring unit

use creo pro 5.0.. .

I have reopened now the family, now always that weight is calculated evenly, I have inserted this report

weight=calc_peso*1000

in the hope of avoiding the multiplication twice....and it seems to have worked, it seems, because now the weights for the variants are identical, despite there are substantial differences between one and the other, in short, for me does not make the calculation of the weight for every single variant but it takes behind the weight of the general and just.

(e.g. usually that unit of measurement is used for specific weights in proe materials? I downloaded those from this forum and are in gr/mm^3)

I still don't know what's wrong with me. try for greater clarity to add column with parameter weight to the family and to make a regenerate and see what numbers shoot you out.

It's a real part? and not a set.. .

to see the measuring unit where the system calculates the mass you have to make prepare, model properties and on the mass property line click on i. you should exit a report where the measuring unit used for calculating the mass is indicated.

Mr President, I should like to thank the rapporteur for his excellent report. Just put weight=pro_mp_mass*10^3 and you saved the creation of a useless parameter.

It's a part, not a set, it's a part's family.

I still don't understand why I have to constantly insert the prom_mp_mass+10e^3 and I can't get the result in grams directly
