workstation per inventor2016 e solidworks

editcs

Guest
good morning to all, would someone know how to configure a workstation to use with cad programs as inventor or solidworks?
I would like to mount it myself by buying the individual components.
Of course I will
processor i7 4790k from 4ghz
32gb ram
video card nvidia picture k2200 4gb
case cooler master cm690iii

but what motherboard? are undecided on two builders but the models did not identify them (asus and asrock)

Can anyone help me?

I have seen, however, that at most it can mount 32gb of ram, exists with max 64gb.?
ram at what frequency?

Not with that processor. He can handle 32gb, but I think you're hardly needing more for solidworks.
otherwise you have to go on other sockets such as 2011 and another processor.
The processor you chose is currently the fastest in single core and the most suitable for sw.

I would also settle, but editcs, probably, think of the future.
or if tomorrow you want to move to 64 how do I??? :
Well, I'm going to say that if, in a few years, you have to double at this point, you better change the whole board.
Hi.

I would go on a hp z440 workstation or one of the preicision t5810, with those arrivals to 256 gb of installable ram. with a xeon e5-1630 v3 go well.
I have a z440 with 32 gb taken from little and less bad that I made this choice, these days I often arrive at 20-25 gb of ram used in surface modeling.

depends a lot on the needs, we hardly use more than 16gb, so a machine with 32 seems to me already enough, switching to a 2011 socket machine costs a lot more, between processor, motherboard and ddr4 memory I think in the end there are at least 500 euros. if you then go to a car with xeon another 500. we use core i7 that for sw that works mainly in single thread except for the table harvests, it is fine. the cost-performance ratio is maximum. Sure that if you have other needs, type render, fea with multicore, then can be valid a machine with 64gb and a 6 core processor, as it allows a 2011 socket. for standard sw use, without these specificities, the core i7 4790 is currently the fastest processor on the market, and is also at an acceptable price. The limit to 32 gb today seems acceptable to me.
If you think about the future, I don't know if you should spend now and have a processor that is eventually slower than 4790, or make a new car when something more valid comes out.

so better to think of a xeon processor rather than an i7? but with i7 4790k, the ram at what frequency?

I would then have decided to buy an i7 4790k with motherboard asus z97-ws, 32gb ram and video card nvidia k2200 with 4gb. what do you think?

just for info, how much does it cost you? How much guarantee do you have and in what time does the guarantee respond?
