hi, I would like (if possible) to give me a workstation for Christmas but I have serious doubts about what the market offers and the software require (among them do not communicate according to me). I do not have a budget for now (not over 600/800 euros)... but I would like to be "illuminated" on what to look for by premitting that:
- You can also "build/assembly" on the internet at your own risk and danger of final performance. . .
- a physical seller can sell you a "branded assembly" or a "assembled by him" always at your own risk of performance... So no one responds if you don't use it 100% (today I have never heard that a physical seller picks you up the new pc just assembled (customized for you) if not as predictive as you require when buying with your software/hardware)
I fromold who are in and out) turn again with an amd ii x3 450 3.21ghz 3.00g ram under win xp sp3 (not connected to the internet of course) and an old license like the cuckooo of rhino... You can say anything about xp but I never crashed or who knows that after installing a hd ssd (absurd and questionable choice, I guess, but the most well spent money for me since it became a splinter). I always had "sympathy" for amd... don't ask me why but I always "lasted a lot more" before it explodes.
some problems arise with win10 (in my opinion unshackled and abominable to the umpteenth power, I can't digest it as "planning") that I have already turned on the new laptop (box of 350 euros badly spent but necessary only for the internet and mail) with the menu' simil xp to have immediateness on programs to open and files to look for, but I will have to get used to it.
the programs in purchase evaluation (external budget) will be rhino (I don't know what number they arrived) and a cam 3 axes (to be evaluated later)
known many parameters in the "minimum/preferential/optimal requirements" of the various programs but then to research done here and there are unfair users (not to say anything else) as never for having spent flourishing on the pc and programs that do not use all available cores as you should or require you (for example) 8 cores on the pc and discover that they use 2 or 4 to maximum work regimen, while if you open 2 programs together a video card "unchange" to the max and mega ram counters not used. . .
possess and not change (for now), monitor, keyboard with mouse wifi doors not usb (the classic green and blue), space mouse 3d connexion configured with rhino and (spero) with the future cad, then budget only for "bussolotto/workstation". I am convinced that any technology I will acquire will already be obsolete as soon as I leave the store (virtually or physical that it is) since after a month the "new model" comes out.
in your experience you say, am I wrong to reason like that? will I be able to have and "express as a lemon" a pc to make cad/cam and take advantage of 3d connexion without drinking a coffee between one spin and another?
thanks to all and excuse the longing
