are there advantages at the moment switching to st3 compared to st.

hi, I use st3 on win xp 32bit just over a month. I have the maintenance pack 3 installed but feedback of daily crashes (marked for assistance) and insufficient memory problems when I open multiple assemblies. at work level and modeling compared to st and st2 I find it faster. the only environment (growth and order) is better since you no longer need to manage all the templates before, even if I use the ordered one... I don't need the synchronous work I do. in conclusion from my point of view the advantages are however I would expect at least another m.p. because it is more stable since you have to install it on 10 pcs.

if you use the synchro now is very convenient because from st3 can live with the order inside the same file.

It is true, to keep in mind that if you transfer features from order to synchronous, the operation is not reversible, as already was not the convert complete files on previous versions (st and st2).

It is known that in "iu.ess.ei" they are a year ahead of us. on the American forum are already months talking about the presentation of the st4. Usually the timing is those, in June they present it, in September/October is available for the American market and new year towards February for Italy and Europe in general.
if you are in assistance you can download from the site ftp siemens the Italian version even at the end of the year, if instead you expect the Italian assistance you are delivered a nice full month after 2-3 service pack came out.

so even if we already talk about st4, here on the forum we will talk about it well after the summer holidays. at the moment we settle for st3
